Lighting the Streets with the Juffureh/Albreda Youth Society

In August, we continued a cycle that has been part of Jufuré since the very beginning—giving back to the communities that have shaped our story. This time, we donated 50,000 Gambian Dalasis to the Juffureh/Albreda Youth Society, helping fund a street-light project designed to bring safety, accessibility, and a sense of security to the village after dark.

For us, it’s more than lights on a street—it’s about dignity, creating safe spaces, and preserving the spirit of heritage villages like Juffureh and Albreda. These projects sit at the heart of our Heritage Preservation Fund, which channels a portion of every collection into initiatives that matter: from sponsoring children in school, to supporting Gambian women, to infrastructure that strengthens everyday life.

With the drop of our Membership Collection, this cycle continues. Each piece isn’t just designed to carry heritage—it actively fuels it. When you step into one of our shirts, you’re stepping into a story that helps light a street, keep a child in school, and empower communities back home.

If you’d like to learn more about the projects we support or would like to get in touch about working with us, we’d love to hear from you. Heritage is strongest when it’s shared.
