Nyantanbungo is the Mandinka word for thatch house. The structures built from the earth beneath them — soil mixed with water, walls shaped by hand, a roof that came to a point. Across West Africa, these homes sheltered families for generations.

The brown of this tracksuit comes directly from that soil. The colour is not a reference. It is the material itself, translated into fabric.

The jacket carries piping that traces the roofline of the mud house from the shoulders inward. On the back, the lines complete the outline of the house. The trousers draw from Chaya — the oversized garment worn traditionally by the Fulɓe, particularly among shepherds across West Africa. The connecting seams recreate that silhouette.

The fabric is water-resistant. Mud houses were built to stand through rain. This detail is consistent with everything else.

Two-piece set. Jacket. Oversized trousers. Limited collection.
