Nyantanbungo is the Mandinka word for thatch house. The structures built from the earth beneath them — soil mixed with water, walls shaped by hand, a roof that came to a point. Across West Africa, these homes sheltered families for generations.

The navy of this tracksuit comes from the Atlantic. The body of water that sits at the centre of this history — that carried many of the people who built homes like these to places they did not choose. The white piping that runs across the jacket traces the roofline of the mud house. The same lines that describe a place of shelter now cross a body of water. They do not decorate this colourway. They mark it.

The trousers draw from Chaya — the oversized garment worn traditionally by the Fulɓe, particularly among shepherds across West Africa. The connecting seams recreate that silhouette.

The fabric is water-resistant. Mud houses were built to stand through rain. This detail is consistent with everything else.

Two-piece set. Jacket. Oversized trousers. Limited collection.
